Eleven World Leaders Have Arrived in Bali for the G20 Summit

VIVA – Some state leaders and invited guests of the G20 Summit have arrived in Bali, starting from the President of the United States, Joe Biden to the President of South Korea, Yoon Suk-yeol. The presence of these state leaders is to attend the G20 Summit on November 15 to 16, 2022.

According to information from the State Secretariat website, the G20 leaders and other guests arrived at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali, on Sunday, November 13, 2022. One of them is Joe Biden.

Joe Biden's presence was immediately welcomed by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno. Minister Sandiaga warmly welcomed Joe Biden, and he also expressed his gratitude to Biden for his willingness to attend the G20 Summit.

"On behalf of the government, nation, and Indonesian people, we express our desire for more visits and cooperation in the tourism and creative economy sectors," Sandiaga Uno remarked.

It is known that Joe Biden came by using the United States presidential plane, Air Force One. The plane arrived at the airport at around 9.46 PM in Indonesia Central Time. Then, he went to the series of vehicles that had been prepared and immediately left the airport.

Previously, several leaders of international organizations had also arrived in Bali. Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF), Klaus Martin Schwab, arrived on the Island of the Gods at 6.56 PM in Indonesia Central Time, and was welcomed by the Governor of Bali, I Wayan Koster.

Not long after that, the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov arrived and was welcomed by SOE Minister, Erick Thohir. Then, the Director General of the International Labor Organization (ILO), Gilbert F. Hungbo, and the President of the Islamic Development Bank (ISDB), Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser also arrived at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport.

Moreover, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mexico, Marcelo Ebrard Casaubon, arrived in Bali and was welcomed by the coordinating minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, and Minister of Transportation, Budi Karya Sumadi.

After that, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen came with her spouse, arriving at 10.30 PM in Indonesia Central Time.

Furthermore, the Special Envoy of the Prime Minister of Fiji, Ratu Inoke Kubuabola, and the Prime Minister of Japan, Fumio Kishida came with his wife, Yuko Kishida, had arrived last night.

Also, the President of The Asian Development Bank (ADB), Masatsugu Asakawa has arrived in Bali.
