The world’s fastest roller coaster reaches a top speed of 240 km/h in 4.9 seconds. Formula Rossa is located at Ferrari World, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and opened in 2010. 

The ride starts inside the indoor theme park, accelerates through the dome, runs outside the park, and returns to its stop inside the building. The roller coaster also looks like a flashy red Ferrari car and goes fast. Because it is so fast, passengers even have to wear goggles to protect their eyes from the desert sand.
