VIVA – A racer of Monster Energy Yamaha, Fabio Quartararo, feels that getting the MotoGP title will be very difficult because of the difference in points. Officially, Quartararo has not been declared defeated in the title race, but realistically, Fabio Quartararo is most likely not to become the 2022 MotoGP winner.
Currently, Fabio Quartararo is in second place in the MotoGP 2022 standings with 235 points. Fabio Quartararo is still 23 points behind Francesco Bagnaia. Francesco Bagnaia managed to top the standings with 258 points.
The 23-year-old racer also changed the final goal to regain the comfort of racing at the Ricardo Tormo circuit, a circuit that is quite complicated.
"We had a good race in Malaysia yesterday. I enjoyed it and am happy to be back on the podium there," Fabio Quartararo said as quoted by the Sport feat from Speedweek.
"Obviously winning the world title now would be very difficult," Quartararo said.
Some of the reasons for Quartararo's drastic decrease in the second half of the 2022 MotoGP season can be classified as two factors.
The first factor is Yamaha's poor YZR-M1 motorcycle, and the second factor is 'luck'. The Yamaha motorbike used by Quartararo is an engine-powered motorbike with the same comparison as the 2021 engine.
The cause cannot be separated from the problem of homologation. No wonder if the M1 is still less fast with the latest motorbikes from other manufacturers.
As for the luck factor, Quartararo has more bad luck in these two. From being hit by Marc Marquez to crashing himself several times. But Quartararo tried to give his maximum effort.
"Of course, as usual, I will give 100 percent as much as I can. But I will not focus too much on my setup. This is the end of the season, I want to enjoy it and enjoy the year with good results," Quartararo explained.
