VIVA – The Singapore GP F1 race will be held this week. Singapore Grand Prix F1 is the 17th series this season. Max Verstappen has a great chance of becoming the 2022 F1 world champion because he is still at the top of the standings with 335 points.
Max Verstappen is far ahead of Charles Leclerc who has just collected 219 points. With a difference of 116 points, Verstappen can defend his F1 title at the Marina Bay Circuit.
Some conditions must be fulfilled by Verstappen, one is that he must win the Singapore Grand Prix.
Then, if Verstappen gets an extra point from the fastest lap, Leclerc must finish in the eighth position or worse, and Sergio Perez finishes fourth or worse. Verstappen points to 361 points, Leclerc maximum to 223 points, Perez maximum to 222 points.
Then if Verstappen wins without the fastest lap, Leclerc must finish ninth or worse, and Perez finishes fourth or worse without the fastest lap. Thus, Max Verstappen will collect 360 points, Leclerc has a maximum of 221 points, and Perez also has 221 points.
These two conditions did not allow Leclerc and Perez to win the championship from Verstappen in the remaining five series, despite the addition of a sprint race at Interlagos circuit.
If Verstappen fails to lock in the title in Singapore, the chances of him winning are still great. Because, after the Singapore GP F1, there are still five races remaining.
