Bakrie Group Makes Startup Competition, Supports Young People

VIVA – Bakrie Group makes a Startup competition, called the I-Start competition. This competition is a form of the Bakrie Group in supporting young Indonesian people who are passionate about developing their Startup businesses for the needs of the public.
President Commissioner of PT Bakrie Global Ventura (BGV), Aninditha Anestya Bakrie, said that I-Start is also one of the series of Bakrie Group's 80th-anniversary programs.
“I-Start is one of a series of Bakrie Group's 80th-anniversary programs, a competition where we invite startups to pitch in ideas that can be useful for many people. We look at it in terms of creativity, solutions, innovation, and also different from the others.” Aninditha Anestya Bakrie remarked in Jakarta, on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.
Ten sectors become the innovation category, such as renewable energy, industrialization, digitalization, technology infrastructure, media, agribusiness, property, telecommunications, health, and education.
"This thought has prompted the Bakrie Group to hold the I-Start competition, as our commitment to providing facilities for the young generation of Indonesia so that they can contribute to answering the needs of the community in various sectors," Aninditha Anestya Bakrie explained.
This competition started from May 20 to June 10, 2022. Later, three startup winners will be selected who will receive total funding of Rp150 million, as well as business mentoring by the third generation of the Bakrie family and the Bakrie Group executive team.
In addition, at the age of 80, the Bakrie Group continues to innovate and show its 'young soul' by cooperating with the next generation of the nation to build the country.
One of them is also building an electric bus startup which is currently run by PT VKTR Mobilitas Technology (VKTR).
PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas is a start-up company in the field of manufacturing electrification of transportation and telematics ecosystems.
"The spirit to build a startup is also in the pulse of the Bakrie Group, in the form of electrification of transportation and the purpose is to help reduce poor air quality because pollution," Aninditha remarked.
