Daud Yordan Successfully Defends WBC Asia Title

VIVA – Indonesian boxer, Daud Yordan defeated Thailand boxer, Panya Uthok at Balai Sarbini, Jakarta, on July 1, 2022 .With this victory, Daud successfully defended his WBC Asia Boxing Council Silver Super Lightweight title.
Daud Yordan won through Technical KnockOut (TKO). His opponent, Panya Uthok fell three times in six rounds.
After the match, Daud Yordan said that the support of the Indonesian people had greatly influenced him. It adds to his motivation and energy in the ring.
"Because of the support of the Indonesian people, because the Kayong people are present, the Kayong Regency government is here. It becomes additional energy for me. Here, all the people of West Kalimantan come, I am very excited, of course the prayers from the Indonesian people," Daud Yordan said.
According to Daud, this victory was in accordance with the target he had set. He had prepared everything to get this victory.
"According to the target, I can win by knockout. I dedicate this victory to the Indonesian people. Indeed, my opponent is much more experienced than me. I tried to take the initiative to attack from the start," he said.
"For the first round, physically still very good so there were a few punches he hit in my face. But it didn't have much effect on me so I can continue to be consistent with my plan to press and attack," he added.
It is known that Daud Jordan has beaten 9 boxers from Thailand. Before the match, Daud Jordan had promised to make Panya Uthok his 10th victim from Thailand.
"As I said yesterday. I will beat him. And I have fulfilled the promise," he said.
Overall, this victory extends Daud’s winning record to 42 from a total of 46 matches that have been played throughout his professional career.
