TAITRA Showcases the Taiwan's Leading Medical Application

VIVA – The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) successfully held a Webinar that introduced the five leading brands of Taiwan's medical products companies on Thursday, June 16, 2022. This Webinar with the theme “Smart Medical Applications” was held online and broadcast live in some major cities in the world.

The products on display are the latest innovative products and applications.

These products are able to take Medical Technology equipment to a new level by combining Technology, Information and Communication. As stated by Matthew Huei-Ming Ma, MD, Phd as professor of Emergency Medicine, and Vice Superintendent of National Taiwan University Hospital Yunlin Branch.

"In Taiwan, currently, hospital doctors and other health workers are collaborating closely with various telecommunications and medical companies in order to provide the best care for patients, and at the same time provide protection for our valuable healthcare staff," Matthew Huei-Ming Ma, MD, Phd said.

Five product companies are winners of the Taiwan Excellence award. Three of them are winners of the Gold Awards Taiwan Excellence for displaying their progress in developing application technology in the world of Health, such as iXensor, a product featuring infectious disease management/chronic disease management/female health management.

Other products include Wellell's SleepWell solution, United Orthopedic's Hinge Knee & Limb Salvage System, and MiiS' telemedicine solution products and IEI's Medical Image Management System - POCi-W22C-ULT5.

Although these five companies specialize themselves in different departments for medical technology development in Taiwan, these five companies are highly dedicated in terms of developing application technology and continue to contribute to bringing the best performance and realize the future for world health care.

This Webinar event managed to attract more than 200 registration participants, consisting of various professionals and online viewers from more than 10 countries including the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Italy, France, Iran, Germany, and the UK.

For additional information, the Taiwan Excellence Awards were established by the Ministry of Economic Affairs in 1993. Products that have been selected for the Taiwan Excellence Awards will serve as examples of the domestic industry and be promoted by the government in the international market in an effort to establish a creative image for Taiwanese businesses.
