Nature Lover Community Make Homecoming Post Like Camping Site

VIVA – When homecoming for Eid al-Fitr, many homecoming posts were set up as a place to rest for travelers. There are permanent ones, such as rest areas on toll roads, or even homecoming posts, which are incidental to every season when the homecoming flow takes place. Usually, such posts are made by the community.
Like the Gombel homecoming post. The homecoming post which is located on the incline of the Gombel hill in Semarang offers a resting place that looks like camping. There are 10 tents that travelers can use to rest, even stay overnight.
According to the coordinator of the homecoming post, Joko as the Head of the General Cross for the Ceria Gombel, Homecoming Camping Post in Semarang, said that the rest area and the Gombel homecoming post were organized by a group of nature lovers, mountain climbers, Semarangkers, and other youth communities.
"The idea came from community friends, there are mountain climbers, nature lovers, the Semarang haunted community or Semarangkers, and others. They made a special place for travelers who want to rest. We provide command tents, there are also camping tents. When the travelers take a rest, they can also enjoy as a camping,” said Joko on Sunday, May 1, 2022.
The Gombel homecoming post also provides various facilities, namely workshops, places of worship, bathrooms, to health services, all of which can be enjoyed for free.
Not only has fresh air, this homecoming post also has a beautiful panorama.
Joko also said that since it was opened on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, many travelers for homecoming have stopped at the Gombel Semarang Homecoming Command Post.
"So, this is an initiative from friends, yes, they are trying together to provide logistics. These travelers are definitely tired and need logistical intake, both those who ride cars, let alone those who ride motorbikes. We provide it for them," said Joko.
Members of the community also take to the road homecoming route for helping driver vehicles who were stuck in traffic jams or those who went on strike. As observed when the accumulation of vehicle flow at the peak of the homecoming flow last Friday.
They help each other for smoothing traffic, pushing cars that broke down, to finding repair shop technicians who solve problems. They have also coordinated with relevant agencies to help drive traffic.
"Motorcycles and homecoming cars that transit in this homecoming post to rest, eat, and also pray. Then, there are repairs at our workshop," said Joko.
Meanwhile, Abeng, one of the volunteers who is also a member of the community organizing the Gombel Homecoming Command, explained that the concept of nature was chosen so that tired travelers could be a little entertained by the natural panorama there.
